My Gratitude Book

Dear Friends,
There were times in life when I was so much a cribber.... (There are still very few times when i crib sometimes, hope this will end soon). I used to crib a lot.
Now I have realised the power of gratitude. One of my guru Dr. Sneh Desai explained "What Is Prayer?" Generally we ask GOD for what we want. So what is difference between me and a beggar. A beggar asks from me/everyone and I ask from GOD. He explained how to pray by a story.

He told us a story of a group of Sadhus and their guru. These sadhus always use to go to village to get something to eat and when they come back they show it to their guru and guru will tell them to pray and thank GOD for their food and then eat. One day sadhus came back empty handed and went to inform their guru about the same. Guru told them to pray. Sadhus were surprised they told why to pray when they didn't have anything to eat. Guru told them that they should thank GOD because GOD knows whats best for them and he gives them and today they were better off without any food and fasting was the best thing for them for that day and so GOD has given them fasting.

This was an eye opener for me.

Now before end of the day I thank GOD for at least 5 things during the day for which I am grateful. Also I was told to write list of things that I want to make it happen in present tense. Begining each sentence with "I am so grateful for ...." or similar words.

In this blog I want to do this on regular basis. I am thankful to GOD for this blogging facility which be my Gratitude Book. I am thankful for each and every event that has happened in my life as these events have made me reach this point today. I am also really very very greateful for all the people  who were, are and will be part of my life as each and eveyone is special. I am also really thankful for each and every things that were and are and will be there in my life. I am thankful for everything(Vastu,Vayakti and Paristhiti)

Thank you GOD.
Purnima
